Adding some Speed to your Swing.

Almost all golfers (even those who hit the ball a long way) would like to add some yards to how far they hit the ball. And for those of you that don't particularly like to spend hours on the range, this is for you. There will be some time required on the range initially, but more swinging the club at home. The range is to get comfortable with your newfound power.
Step #1. At home.
Swing a club at home is GREAT practice as long as you work on something specific and not just swinging aimlessly. So please work on swinging the club as hard as you can from the top of the backswing to a follow-through that takes you well over your shoulders. Do at least 50 swings every day. Preferably 100!
Step #2. On the Range.
On the driving range, use the hard swing you have been using to do your practice swing and then step u to the ball and swing just as hard. You might miss the sweet spot a few times early on, but as your body gets used to swing with speed, your swing will start to adapt, and you will start hitting the ball further as your clubhead speed increases!
Step 3. On the Course.
Once you have hit many successful shots on the range, you are ready to take your newfound power to the course. Don't be afraid to swing hard. Look at John Rahm and Rory McIlroy. Both hit the ball hard but with good balance. Pose at the end of the swing to make sure you are swinging in balance. That way, you will maintain your accuracy.
