Today we give you several ways of chipping without breaking the lead wrist.  This will lead to much more consistent chipping because the loft is the same each time, and therefore the roll is the same each time.

There have been several chipping methods I have taught over the years.  Chipping with an alignment stick up the shaft side to keep the lead wrist straight or putting an alignment stick in the ground and move the lead hand forward to touch the stick.

But the most successful method I have used is putting the index finger of the right hand on the grip and push the handle through at the same speed as the clubhead.  This keeps the club online and absolutely allows no breakdown of the lead wrist at impact! The pressure of keeping the clubhead moving through instead of "flipping" makes all the difference in the world to your chipping.  One of the other side benefits of this method is it keeps the clubhead low to the ground.  This leads to more solid contact!
