2 Exercises to Improve your Swing!

If you are looking to start a golf strength and flexibility program or need some new ideas to incorporate into your current routine, Mike Pedersen of Perform Better Golf is the man to go to.  I have been following Mike for several years now, and his ideas make sense and really work.

So check out this video and start doing 2 great golf exercises with a pair of dumbells to make you a better player.

Golf Posture Lateral Raises.

Get your body into a golf posture position and let the dumbells hang in front of you.  Raise the dumbells sideways until your arms are parallel to the ground.  Hold for 5 seconds, then bring them back down.

Do 2 or 3 sets of 12 to 15 reps.

Golf Curls.

Place the dumbells in your hand in a similar position that your hands would be in the golf swing.  Your thumbs will be pointing away from you and not off to the side as in traditional curls. Get a slight kink in the wrist (like a wrist cock in the golf swing) and hold the entire time.

Do 2 or 3 sets of 12 to 15 reps.
